Did you guys fix the valve?

We did release a new version of our flow control valve using a new material in summer 2021 and have had zero issues since. While the old and new valves appear similar, they are made from two different materials. In September ’21, we successfully ensured that all Geysers in retail circulation had the new valve and that all Geysers going forward were equipped with it as well!

We are still going above and beyond to take care of any customers who bought a Geyser before this change and who may have a defective valve. If you have any questions or need help, reach out to our support team!

Do you offer military discounts?

Yes, we do offer a 20% discount to members of the US military, as well as firefighters and those employed in outdoor industries. Just reach out to us and we’ll get you taken care of.

Do you ship to __________?

We currently only ship to Australia and USA. The European countries all require CE marking and testing for regulatory compliance and ability to sell. We hope to achieve the ability to sell in Europe in the future, so stay tuned!

What are the shipping costs?

For orders of $50 or more, UPS Ground shipping is free for United States residents. Other shipping methods such as next-day or 2-day air are available at checkout for an additional shipping charge.

For orders $50 or less, we charge a $10 flat rate.

How long does one scrub last?

Geyser scrubs are built to be tough. Our testers used it everyday for two weeks with no issues. One tester has consistently used his everyday for two months with no issues. Of course, the lifespan depends on how you use and store it. You can store the scrubs inside the Geyser System, however, we recommend you let the scrub dry. Do not microwave, dish wash, or boil the scrub.

Depending on your use-case and assuming you use the scrub semi-regularly, it can last anywhere from 2-6 months.

Each scrub is treated with an all-natural antimicrobial solution before it’s packaged to extend the usability and lifespan.

Individual scrubs retail for $7.95 each plus shipping.

How do you power it?

To power the Geyser System, plug the included power cable into your vehicle’s 12V DC socket, an auxilliary deep cycle battery, or a generator. The product is designed to run off of pretty much any 12v source.

If you are using your car’s 12V DC socket, make sure to operate the Geyser with the car engine running when using heat mode or when using pump mode for an extended period.

Is it safe?

We designed the Geyser System to be safe and easy enough for a child to use, with 2 layers of safety at every point of contact.

Chiefly, you want a hot shower, but not too hot. For that reason, the Geyser features two thermostats to monitor the water temerature. If the water is above 113°F / 45°C, the pump will automatically disable itself until the temperature returns to 85-95°F / 30-35°C. This is to prevent you from adding hot water, forgetting to add cold water, and scalding yourself or your loved ones. If you are using the Geyser in conjunction with your camp stove, we strongly advise adding cold water first, then topping off the Geyser with hot/boiling water.

Using the built in water heater? Once the water reaches 95°-107° F / 37-43°C , the heater will shut itself off.

In addition to letting you know when to wrap up your shower, the built in water level sensor will never let you run the built in heater without water in the unit.

Additionally, the lid switch at the top of the unit makes sure you won’t . The built in water heater will only turn on when the lid is screwed on securely.

How much water does the Geyser use?

The Geyser System’s water container holds 0.8 gallons. One gallon of water will last up to 7-15 minutes for washing yourself or your gear, depending on the flow rate you choose.

Our testers found that around seven minutes is the ideal length of a refreshing shower. That flow rate will consume ~0.12 gal/minute.

The lowest flow rate is best suited for cleaning dishes/gear/etc. and will last around fifteen minutes per gallon (0.05 gal/minute).

How long does the Geyser take to heat water?

The Geyser System offers two ways to a hot shower. The simplest is using the ‘Heated’ version of the Geyser System, which features a built in water heater. Using this method, water takes anywhere from 15 minutes to 45 minutes* to heat up, depending on the quantity and the initial temperature of the water.

It’s important to know that the Geyser System does not heat and pump at the same time. This brings us to the second way to a hot shower.

For a hot shower in as few as 5 minutes, use the Geyser System in conjunction with your camp stove (or any means to heat water). First, boil 1 liter of water. Then plug in the 12V DC power cable, add 2 liters of cold water to the Geyser’s water container, and top off the container using the hot water.

Any time you are using the built-in water heater and powering the Geyser with the 12V DC socket in your vehicle, make sure to have your vehicle’s engine on. Alternatively, you can connect the Geyser to a deep cycle battery using the included power cord.

Can I use the Geyser for both washing dishes and showering?

Yes, you can use the Geyser System to wash your dishes, your gear and yourself. Simply adjust the valve located on the hose line to find the flow rate best suited for each activity. With the valve at a 45° angle (half open), you can enjoy approximately 7 minutes of a refreshing shower. With the valve just barely open, you can clean off your gear and dishes for approximately 15 minutes.

Stay organized by using the quick disconnect feature to keep your ‘dish’ scrub separate from your ‘gear’ scrub separate from your ‘body’ scrub.

Can I take a cold shower?

Yes.

The Geyser System heats and pumps water separately, so if you want to take a cool, refreshing shower, you can do that by simply adding cool water and going straight to pump mode.
